Responding to Disinformation is a media capacity-building and authentic digital news production initiative aimed at strengthening journalists’ ability to counter disinformation and uphold ethical journalism in Pakistan. The project focused on enhancing media literacy and critical thinking among journalists, civil society activists, and community leaders. It promoted responsible reporting practices, reinforced adherence to legal frameworks on freedom of expression, and addressed the safety and security challenges faced by media practitioners. As part of the initiative, participants produced and published high-quality digital stories on reputable media platforms, while also mentoring aspiring journalists to combat disinformation in society. It conducts webinars and live sessions to spark public dialogue on key themes such as education, human rights, climate reporting, online harassment, and democratic engagement, contributing to a broader understanding of disinformation and its impact on society.
