Following the completion of each year’s training workshops, GNMI launches a call for story pitches open to all program participants, including both mentors and mentees. The call clearly outlines the thematic focus areas, eligible digital content formats, and submission guidelines to ensure alignment with the program’s objectives.
Participants submit their story ideas via Zanbeel, a custom-built digital pitching platform. Pitches are reviewed and evaluated by the GNMI editorial team based on key criteria such as relevance, timeliness, originality, and potential for social impact.
The most compelling and contextually grounded pitches are shortlisted and awarded financial support for content production. This process enables participants to translate their training into practice by producing authentic, high-quality digital stories that promote accurate information and amplify underrepresented voices.
