The “Sensitizing Media on CVE” project aims to empower media content producers to build strong communities and promote peaceful coexistence by enhancing their ability to report inclusive and tolerant narratives. Training facilitators emphasize the need for gender-sensitive content in media, addressing the challenges women journalists faced both in the newsroom and on the field, and highlight the importance of including women in decision-making processes. The project also produces and disseminates role model stories of inspirational individuals contributing to peace narratives. These stories have been screened during sensitization sessions to help media representatives understand and discuss the significance of creating positive narratives through mainstream and digital media. Inspirational videos have also been showcased on GNMI’s social media platforms on International Women’s Day 2022 under the hashtags #BreaktheBias, #WomenInMedia, and #IWD2022.
