The project has conducted comprehensive training sessions at both universities, focusing on Mobile Journalism, Web Content Creation, and the Effective Use of Social Media Channels. The training aims to equip students with practical skills and knowledge, enabling them to effectively use digital media to promote peace, tolerance, and social cohesion within their communities.
In the Web Content module, participants explore the role of web content in building peace, interfaith harmony, and resilience. They learn how web content can be applied to promote positive societal change, establish collaborations, and strengthen the societal fabric. The training has covered the basic principles and fundamentals of content creation, emphasizing how to tailor content for the digital space.
The Mobile Journalism (MOJO) module introduces students to digital storytelling using mobile devices. It discusses how MOJO can counter negativity and change perspectives for the betterment of society. The training has highlighted the power of smartphones as tools for independent journalism and spreading peace messages. Participants are introduced to MOJO equipment, useful applications for production, and techniques for video/photo editing, framing, and composition.
