Mentoring and Individual Technical Support (MITS)

The Mentoring and Individual Technical Support (MITS) component of the program is designed to enhance and refine each participant’s Digital News Platform (DNP) through tailored, expert-driven guidance. Participants are paired with both local and international mentors who assess and advise on key elements such as business objectives, branding, niche alignment, platform suitability, content quality, and consistency. Mentors also offer recommendations on technical tools and applications, search engine optimization (SEO), digital marketing strategies, monetization models, and cross-platform collaboration to expand visibility and audience reach.


This collaborative process results in a detailed product blueprint and an improvement framework for each DNP. GNMI’s team works closely with level 2 cohort participants to implement these improvements, ensuring their platforms meet high-quality standards and are ready for launch. The total of thirty in-depth mentoring sessions have been conducted with inaugural cohort members, resulting in optimized, ready-to-launch DNPs with strong growth potential.
