A call for applications was launched by the Global Neighbourhood for Media Innovation (GNMI) through its digital platforms and media networks. Applications were received from 31 women journalists representing diverse regions, including Karachi, Islamabad, Nowshera, Swat, and Quetta. Following a rigorous selection process involving peer review and expert interviews, three mentees were selected: Andleeb Khan (YouTube Channel: Xplore with Aniee), Kulsoom Jahan (Website: Sports in Urdu), and Khalida Niaz (Facebook Page: The Women Log).
