To kick off the launch of the Frequency+ Radio Media Exchange Program, a unique and strategic digital campaign was developed to generate buzz, spark conversations, and engage the radio media community. With a focus on storytelling, innovation, and impact, the multi-phase digital rollout resonated strongly with local radio professionals across Sindh and Balochistan. It consisted of two compelling videos and a live webinar, the launch campaign captured the attention of key stakeholders, practitioners, and digital audiences alike.
1. Teaser Video
The launch began with a dynamic teaser video that ignited interest and curiosity among audiences. Featuring powerful clips from past projects addressing vital social issues especially in the areas of media literacy and advocacy, the teaser served as a powerful reminder of the organization’s ongoing commitment to media reform. Closing with prompts like “What’s Next?” and “Coming Soon,” the video effectively set the stage for the reveal of Frequency+ and its mission to transform the radio landscape.

2. Introduction Video
The second video adopted a storytelling approach, celebrating the legacy of radio as a powerful tool for community engagement and mass communication. This video introduced the project’s bold aims to breathe improvised life into the radio industry through Frequency+.

3. Launch Webinar
The official launch of Frequency+ took place via a live Facebook webinar, bringing together senior radio professionals, media experts, and key stakeholders for a timely dialogue. The session provided an overview of Frequency+ (RMEP), outlining its goals, benefits for radio professionals, and application process. Panelists—Rukhsana Musarat – Radio Pakistan Islamabad, Lala Asad Pathan – ARY News, Sindh, Shahzada Zulfiqar – PFUJ Quetta, and Mehboob Sarwar – Radio Pakistan Karachi—discussed the current state of radio journalism in Pakistan, particularly in Sindh and Balochistan. They highlighted major challenges of radio media such as declining listenership, outdated content formats, and limited innovation. The event concluded with a formal call for applications, reinforcing the urgent need for capacity-building initiatives like Frequency+ to equip local radio professionals with the tools and mindset required to prosper in a rapidly evolving digital media environment.
