To amplify the role of women in media for promoting peace narratives, women’s rights, and gender equality around International Women’s Day, a comprehensive social media campaign has been designed. The campaign includes posting 10 inspirational videos, 5 videos from the media sensitization sessions, posters, and hosting a webinar. These media products are disseminated from March 1, 2022, to March 10, 2022, on GNMI’s social media handles, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.
In this digital campaign, female journalists highlight the impact of showcasing stories of women role models on mainstream and digital media. Experts also demonstrate ways to break barriers in women’s empowerment. The campaign emphasizes the importance of bringing women-centric role models and stories to the forefront, showcasing how these narratives can inspire and promote greater inclusion and gender equality in media.
