#MIL program is designed to counter online disinformation by increasing media and information literacy (MIL) in women in Pakistan. The advocacy and training program brings together women from various professional fields to learn and share ideas about how to identify and fight fake news, disinformation, and misinformation as well as discuss how these issues particularly affect marginalized communities and genders. The program’s ultimate goal is to counter the increasing online violence and discord in the society perpetrated through fake news and hashtags.
