Our training curriculum is rooted in comprehensive needs assessment studies conducted within media outlets. Modules have been shaped by insights from Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), addressing identified gaps. With the media’s potential as a powerful advocacy tool against gender bias and violence, our modules aim to empower journalists covering GBV. They encompass root causes and consequences of GBV, an overview of relevant legislation, criminal justice processes, and ethical guidelines for reporting violence against women. The training also provides a directory of laws, redress mechanisms, and support platforms for GBV cases.
